Hi, this is Debbie with Taylor Brauer Realty Group. Thanks for reaching out - how may I help you?

About Taylor Brauer Realty Group

After helping hundreds of buyers and sellers, we know that while every transaction is unique, there are similarities and we know for certain that experience matters. In the ever-changing real estate industry, you want someone who has done it before, does it often, and does it well because it is their passion! Meet the Taylor Brauer Realty Group Team.

"Working with buyers and sellers is often more like a puzzle and it’s important to truly listen to what they’re saying their needs are, working hard to fulfil their needs, and sometimes thinking outside of the box, but it’s always rewarding when all the pieces fit together."

Katie Taylor

Outgoing and generally up for anything | Loves checking out new places and getting to know new people | THE Katie of “Katie’s Soft Pretzels” | Animal Lover

Katie has always loved working with people and her transition from an entrepreneur to real estate broker 20 years ago was a perfect fit. She was fortunate enough to learn from, and later team up with, 2 exceptional women who were pillars in the local real estate market. She is grateful for their mentorship and has since worked with hundreds of buyers and sellers and strives to give the best service and diligence possible to each one. She enjoys getting to know people, identifying their needs and wants, and by the end of a transaction considering them friends. She works with her husband, Steve Brauer, who together bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to give you double the care and attention. Katie has warm and energetic personality and would love to help guide you through a smooth and productive real estate transaction.

When not working, Katie loves walking in Bolin Forest with her mixed breed dogs, hanging out with her son when he is in home from college, volunteering with the Orange County Special Olympics, reading, and travelling anywhere Steve will agree to go with her.

Fav Places: Bolin Creek trails with pups; DPAC for a night out; Tyler's for a casual meal; standing pool-side at swim meets chatting with other parents; Jordan Lake; Carrboro Farmer’s Market.

Steve Brauer

Math Nerd | Former College Baseball Player | Sports Enthusiast | Tarheel Fan | Animal Lover | Coach | Mentor | Entrepreneur

Steve was a natural from day one in real estate and has enjoyed working with hundreds of buyers and sellers over the years. His calmness under pressure has served him well as an entrepreneur, a sports coach and swim official, and especially in real estate. In college he was a teaching assistant for the math department and really loved mentoring, so it was a logical transition when he became Broker in Charge of the Coldwell Banker Advantage Chapel Hill office. There he gets to help newer agents learn the ropes and seasoned agents who run into unusual situations, while continuing his favorite part of the job, working with and representing buyers and sellers. He works with his wife and college sweetheart Katie Taylor, and is always ready to jump in, roll up his sleeves, offer advice and guidance, or put on his headlamp and head into a crawlspace. He brings common sense, an impressive depth of knowledge, quiet confidence, and will diplomatically tell you truth, even if it’s not what you want to hear. You can count on him to be dependable, reliable, and always have your best interest at heart.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys early morning walks with his 2 rescue dogs and a strong cup of coffee, heading to the gym, entertaining on the screened porch, or travelling anywhere Katie drags him off to see.

Fav Places: running trails in Carolina North; the lawn at Weaver Street Market in Carrboro; the basketball court with my Orange County Special Olympics team; poolside as an USA swimming official at swim meets; Peppers Pizza (still hoping it will come back); Magone’s Pizza; IP3 Pizza; Anna Maria’s Pizza.

"I have always enjoyed teaching/coaching people so becoming Broker-in-Charge at CB Advantage was a natural fit, but I truly still most enjoy getting to know people and helping them navigate through the complicated transaction of buying and selling their homes."

"I’ve had a gazillion hobbies, mostly centered around nature and art, and that translates into my very favorite parts of being an agent. I love to help sellers stage their homes to attract the best contract and help buyers see all the possibilities of a potential new home."

Debbie Everly

Animal & Nature Lover | Former UVA Rugger | Sports Enthusiast | Wannabe Artist (Mosaics, Paint, Photography, Upcycled Furniture)

A Chapel Hill resident since 2007, Debbie Everly arrived in Chapel Hill with two daughters, two cats, a puppy and a large goldfish named Fish. She immediately loved the area (tied only to Seattle for best places to live) and settled in with the homeschooling community where her girls thrived. Community involvement is important to her—whether volunteering (and subsequently adopting, of course!) with Orange County Animal Services, coaching Special Olympics Orange County (where she met her husband Johnny) or working with students at Boomerang to achieve their college dreams. Through these activities and more, Debbie is always on the lookout to make the Triangle an even better place to live!

Debbie is also responsible for keeping the team moving forward—and you can see her on the team's Facebook page live during open houses throughout Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, Pittsboro and the greater Triangle area. Katie and Steve say her creativity shows in all she does with real estate and her ability to weigh cost versus benefit when helping sellers and the team prepare a listing with staging is remarkable. She also is team’s social media guru and regularly posts news and happenings.

Fav Places: Spicy Pineapple Margaritas at Esperanza; My Secret Closet; live music anywhere (Second Wind, The Station, Cat’s Cradle, Haw River Ballroom…); walking Carrboro at night with her pups; Triangle Krav Maga Fitness Challenge.

Marcia Fleishman

Marcia has had many fine adventures in her life and has lived in all 4 U.S. times zones. All that relocating has given Marcia a special insight into the challenges of moving across the country or across town. Because she understands both sides of the moving equation, she is a valued real estate adviser to clients and friends. She has a knack for looking at the big picture and being able to personally relate to her client's situation, while always keeping a sense of calm and purpose. Marcia joined our team in 2019 and will continue to serve the Triangle with knowledge, commitment, and fortitude, only now with the "Advantage" of a team beside her.

Lynne Feiss-Necrason

Lynne has over 35 years of experience in real estate and was also one of the founders of Tri-Pointe Properties, a very successful all-female-run boutique realty firm in Chapel Hill. She is well-respected in the real estate community and has received many production and service awards. Besides being a skilled Realtor, Lynne has a passion for photography that she has really developed (pun intended) into more than a hobby over the last 5 years. Her creative eye used in real estate has put her photography in demand for galleries, photography shows, and the walls of people’s homes. When not working, her grandma hat goes on and the fun ensues!

Fav Places: Jordan Lake with camera and dogs in tow, Museum of Art (Raleigh); Life and Science Museum (Durham); Pullen Park; Tarantini’s Italian; Root Cellar; Breakaway Café; Nana’s; live music and shopping in Fearrington Village; and Friday art walks throughout the Triangle.

Karen Armstrong

Before we were Taylor Brauer, Karen was the former marketing and administrative specialist-extraordinaire of our real estate team. Karen's passion for her industry drove her to excel in specializing in the sales and marketing of upper-end homes. She has now taken her years of experience forward as staging consultant—where she brilliantly makes listings look "upper-end!" And, as a testament to loyalty, she unwaveringly cheers for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Jim Necrason

Lynne's husband Jim Necrason obtained his real estate license when he retired from the business world. Besides being smart and attentive, he’s always good for levity. Together, they bring and share invaluable knowledge and an outstanding reputation in the real estate business in the Triangle area to the team.
